Wide midfielder to make debut in Sunday's squad
Published - 26th Jan 19

We are delighted to announce the signing of wide midfielder Gemma Anderson.

Aged 20, she joins the club from Exeter and Tedburn Rangers FC.

Gemma has played football from the age of 4 with numerous youth sides, before playing senior football at the tender age of 16. She joined Exeter and Tedburn at the age of 18 and played there for the last two seasons.

"I'm very passionate about my football and joining Torquay United Ladies is a huge honour for me," she said. "I'm extremely excited about getting to work with the other girls, and giving the team everything I have got."

Manager Jamie McInnes was delighted with the new addition - "From the little bits and pieces I have seen of Gemma, I'm certain she is going to be a fantastic signing for the team. She's very talented already, at such a young age, with huge potential for future development. Gemma will fit in well with the group and what we are trying to build here and will only make the team stronger in the long run."

Anderson goes straight into the match-day squad for this Sunday's game against Portishead.
