Team lose on penalties in final at FA People's Cup tournament

Congratulations to the team for an excellent performance in the FA People's Cup this weekend.

The trip to Bristol for the regional semi-finals meant a very early start and what proved to be a late return.

They won all their games, but unfortunately lost in the final against a team from Oxford on penalties.

Club chair Janette Farrell said: "They all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and thank Jamie [McInnes] for his support and organisation, which allowed them to participate.

"They feel that the pressure got to them in the end! But will definitely be attending again."

The FA People's Cup is a free nationwide five-a-side knock-out competition. The finals weekend takes place at St George's Park, the home of England's teams on April 27-28.
